Gresham sits at the eastern edge of the Portland metro, with Johnson Creek winding through town and neighborhoods climbing the slopes of Gresham Butte and the area’s other buttes. Homes on the buttes and hillsides take on a lot of runoff, while homes near Johnson Creek and in the flatter parts of town sit on heavy clay soil with a high water table during our wet winters.
Gresham grew quickly after World War II, so many neighborhoods are full of mid-century homes with aging crawl spaces, basements and foundations, along with newer subdivisions toward Pleasant Valley. If your basement in Gresham smells musty, shows water stains or takes on water every winter, we’ll find out exactly where the water is coming from before we recommend anything. Depending on the cause, the fix may be as simple as regrading or a downspout repair, or it may call for an interior drainage system, exterior waterproofing, crack injections or a sump pump.
Pacific Waterproofing is a family-owned company that has served Gresham and the rest of the Portland-Vancouver area since 2015. We’re not here to upsell you. We’ll show you what we find, explain it in plain terms and give you a fair price.
